About the Artist

Candice Wicks-Davis aka Mama Candice is an international edutainer and entrepreneur, holding a Masters in Education from San Francisco State University and a Bachelors in Sociology from UC Berkeley. She is the founding partner of Edutainment for Equity, a technical assistance company and has been a professional artist for 10 years, traveling the world performing, facilitating workshops and hosting events with her husband and business partner, Hodari Davis. She has shared stages with Les Nubians, The Roots, Blackalicious, Black Star and Nneka. Her work has taken her to all over the world including Iran, Kenya, Malta, Ghana. Tanzania, Cuba, Uganda, Trinidad and the Netherlands.
