What is First Wave?
First Wave is a full-tuition, four-year scholarship program for students that are seniors in high school or freshmen in college that are applying to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Am I eligible to apply to First Wave?
Minimum eligibility requirements to apply for and be considered for the First Wave Scholarship Program:
- Current high school graduating senior or equivalent (GED or HSED) or freshman in college (NOT already attending UW-Madison)
- Applied and admitted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Fall semester
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or international student that qualifies for a Student Visa

How can I apply to the Interdisciplinary Residency?
The The Interdisciplinary Arts Residency Program (IARP) for the 2022–2023 academic year will engage a partnership between the Division of the Arts (DotA) and the Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives (OMAI).
