The new documentary from Wisconsin Public Television explores how the pioneering program empowers students to pursue a degree while developing their skills in the hip-hop art forms of spoken word, rap, writing, poetry, singing, producing and acting.

This video of the First Wave group was originally broadcast on “The Wheel”, a program produced by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and shown on the Big 10 Network nationwide. An hour-long documentary entitled “First Wave, An Unfiltered Story” was also produced for the network.
