Salima Seale is an AEA Stage Manager from Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN in 2014. Salima’s professional mission is to support the development of art and artists that positively impact her communities. She has worked as a freelance stage manager at small local and regional theaters like the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis and the Kennedy Center in D.C. Salima is committed to the personal and artistic development of young people and has supported programs like Penumbra Theatre’s Summer Institute, a youth development program training young people to enact social change in their communities and Making Waves, a social justice theatre troupe that facilitated difficult conversations around topics such as racism, bias, harassment and bullying through workshops and performances with students, staff, and faculty at Hamline University.
