Rayane (Hi-ani) Prado Nunes is a Latina born and raised in Mato-Grosso (Brasil). She is a dancer trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip funk, tap and theatre. She had classes with Jason Samuels Smith, Chris Matallo, Duane Holland, Caio Nunes, Fernanda Fiuza, Jin-Wen Yu and more. They also love watching all kinds of concerts, especially musical theatre, and are exploring their artistry with photography. Currently, Rayane is attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a First Wave scholar; where she’s working towards a B.A in Psychology with Certificates in Dance, Gender & Women studies as well as Leadership. They’ve served as a Board member of the International Student Services Advisory Board, as a REACH Ambassador and have worked multiple jobs at UW – for example being a House Fellow (Resident Assistant) for The Studio and a Peer Advisor for the Cross-College Advising Services. They are also a Research Assistant and are currently developing their Senior Thesis with the Social Kids Lab. Her dream is to get a Ph.D in Psychology and continue to do research on biases in ways that the community can benefit from.
