Jax Neal

Jax Neal is a multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and poet based in Houston, Texas. His work consists of highly physical, endurance-based performances often combining vulnerable storytelling with tests of strength, stamina, and mental fortitude. Neal uses language and embodied movement to explore themes of spirituality, despair, American isolationism, and the magnitude of the self. He is a former National Youth Poet Laureate Regional Ambassador selected by the Library of Congress. In 2023 Neal was part of the inaugural choreographer’s residency cohort at Houston Met Dance.
