Willie Ney, Executive Director

The man who birthed Youth Speaks Wisconsin, Willie Ney is a long-time cultural organizer in Madison and around the Midwest. Previously the assistant director of the Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies Program at UW-Madison, Willie has been using performance arts to raise consciousness and uplift the community for years. Since connecting with the national Youth Speaks network several years ago, Willie has worked to build the youth spoken word movement in Madison and is proud to be part of the first urban arts institution at the university level in the country.
