Registration Fees: The Institute fee is $150 per person before May 15, 2012, and $200 after May 15th. Additional fees apply for University Credit. Please note we will break for lunch each day; meals are not included in the registration fee. Lodging: A block of rooms is being held (July 22-28, 2012), at the Best Western Plus InnTowner and The Highland Club, 2424 University Ave. Madison, WI 53726. Dorm rooms are also being held at the UW-Madison Short Course Dorms (July 22-28, 2012), 116 Agriculture Hall, 1450 Linden Dr. Madison, WI 53706. Rates are $42/night for single occupancy, $30/night for double occupancy, and $23/night for triple occupancy. Linens, towels, and washcloths are provided. Also, available is free wireless, a television lounge with air conditioning, and a computer room. Individual rooms are not air conditioned, but fans are provided. Cancellation Policy: You may obtain a refund (minus the $20 administrative fee) by calling 800-725-9692 at least 3 business days before the program. If you do not attend or arrange for a substitute, or if you cancel 3 business days or less prior to the program, you are responsible for the entire fee.
University Credit: The Institute can be taken for 1-3 university credits. Participants must be admitted to UW-Madison as a Special student and enroll in School of Education Curriculum and Instruction course 675 by July 15, 2012. Tuition is $150 per credit. (Those currently enrolled as UW-Madison graduate students pay graduate tuition rates). Credits will appear on the UW-Madison transcript. Educator Professional Development: The Institute fulfills Wisconsin Professional Development Plan requirements. Note: Educators from outside of Wisconsin, please check with your state’s education agency for professional development and licensure requirements.
Continuing Education Credits: UW-Madison is an approved CEU provider for the Institute. Completion of the five-day Institute qualifies for 30 credit hours (CEU). A continuing education transcript is available upon request.
